Please join us as our guest for your first meeting! You will receive a guest packet that describes how to become a member. Membership dues are $45 annually ($15 for the local chapter and $30 for national). All local members are required to join the National Guild. |
Give us your name and email address
and we will send you information about our guild. (Please note: submitting your email address in above box does not
mean you have joined the guild.) |
Local Membership Benefits include use of our extensive library of publications and patterns; use of our guild pleater; monthly meetings with classes, demonstrations, and Show and Share, and the shared expertise and friendship of talented members.
From time to time we host
workshops with national teachers and have
opportunities for participation in smocking magazine photo shoots.
SAGA National Membership Benefits include national conventions, correspondence courses, artisan and SAGA programs and tips & techniques to improve your skills. You will also receive SAGANews, the quarterly magazine filled with designs, creative ideas, national convention information, chapter news and guild activities.
As a SAGA member, you may also visit the exclusive Members' Area of our national website (www.smocking.org). Admission to this area is available at no extra charge, and is available to all SAGA Members. Once you have joined the local guild and receive your membership information from National, just go to the Main Page on national website and register for the Members' Area.
Every member is required to complete at least one WeeCare gown each year for our service project. These gowns are donated to area hospitals for burial gowns and also for tiny premature babies to wear.
Show and Share: At every meeting, members bring their beautiful creations to show and share with us. We are all inspired by the handiwork of our talented members.
Babysitting is not provided. Members are welcome to bring older children who are able to sit quietly during meetings and not disturb our members. |
