SAGA National and Regional Information

 

The Birmingham Smocking Guild is a chapter of the Smocking Arts Guild of America (SAGA).

SAGA invites you to become a part of our informative and educational International organization. Sewing enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels can join and enjoy the numerous benefits SAGA offers. SAGA, a non-profit organization will provide you with exciting new ideas, patterns, expert instruction, and a way of staying in touch with others in the world of smocking, fine hand sewing, and related needle arts. You will have an opportunity to attend International Conventions, participate in Educational Programs and Courses, such as Artisan, Kids Can Stitch, and SAGA Programs while learning effective tips & techniques to improve your skills. You will also receive SAGANews, our quarterly magazine filled with designs, information, creative ideas, convention information, chapter news, and guild activities.

When you join our local Birmingham area guild, you will also be joining SAGA.  Every member of a local guild must belong to SAGA.

Our chapter is part of Region III of SAGA(We were formerly part of SE Region before regions were reorganized.)
